Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Clinical Research Informatics & Technology (CRIT) team as the first Product Owner in this space. As PO, you will primarily prioritize the backlog for the clinical research system PIMS (Protocol Information Management System).

 

PIMS is a system developed in-house that has served as the protocol information system for the MSK’s clinical research office for 15 years. PIMS has a broad user base and caters to the needs of multiple Clinical Research Administration (CRA) units and follows a variety of federal and internal clinical research regulations.

 

You will:

  • Apply agile methodologies as the PIMS product owner working closely with development team and end users.
  • Create, maintain, and prioritize the backlog of PIMS features around what needs to be built and when
  • Own responsibility for success of deliverables and timeline
  • Manages engagement with technical stakeholders as needed
  • Plans sprints – exclusively responsible for planning sprint content
  • Responsible for making trade-offs between scope and timeline with leadership
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of the system frontend and back to devise the best technical solutions for user’s needs and workflows.
  • Align deliverables with CRIT leadership’s vision and goals

You have:

  • 3+ years as a product owner, project manager or scrum master in a clinical/healthcare setting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to navigate independently, and collaborate with senior leadership
  • Knowledge of agile framework and SAFe 4 Product Owner/ Product Manager (POPM) certification preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required
