Job Description
NBCUniversal's Enterprise Product Team builds products providing essential capabilities to organizations throughout NBCUniversal, including the Universal Filmed Entertainment Group, Universal Studios Group, Broadcast Operations, NBC & Telemundo Networks, Cable Entertainment brands, local TV stations and more.
We're looking for a highly motivated Product Owner to drive digital transformation initiatives across the Studios, Film, TV, & Streaming businesses. This is a high visibility role that impacts cross functional workflows across one of the largest enterprise content supply chains in the world.
Reporting to the Director of Product for Enterprise Contracts and Rights Management, you'll utilize your balanced skillset of business acumen along with your passion for technical innovation to deliver impactful products and solutions.
As Product Owner you will be expected to conceive, design, promote, prioritize and manage product initiatives, to drive compelling outcomes. You will lead cross-functional efforts with both a client-facing and technical focus, consulting on high-level strategy, while owning the details necessary to delivery and iterate on a successful and transformative product.
Responsibilities:

  • Manage the product lifecycle, feature roadmap and prioritization
  • Engage with multiple clients & stakeholders to understand complex challenges/business requirements and translate them into elegant product features and solutions
  • Document product features as user stories with detailed acceptance criteria and supporting artifacts
  • Collaborate with architecture to identify the best technical approach and solutions to meet the client's short and long-term needs
  • Provide consistent, customer-focused communication back to clients on development progress, delivery timelines and all related activities
  • Lead grooming sessions with engineering, QA and UX to maintain a consistent, up-to-date backlog of clearly defined features/stories
  • Conduct product demos and walk-throughs for clients, product and leadership teams to maintain a consensus and shared understanding of overall progress and vision
  • Be an owner and an expert on your product and its related products, technology, services and users
  • Mentor product specialists


Qualifications

  • 4+ years of product management experience
  • Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills
  • Analytical mind & strong problem-solving capabilities with experience launching/scaling products and features to solve complex challenges
  • Demonstrable ability to navigate complex environments, work with interdisciplinary teams and effectively communicate priorities, delivery expectations, risks and concerns to senior management.
  • Creative critical thinker who thrives on solving challenging problems


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Television/Broadcast, Media, Technology, or related field
  • Experience with contractual and/or legal IT systems

Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000, Bonus Eligible
