As Product Owner you’re at the helm, it’s your role to steer the engineering team - above all ensuring the work they complete is of the highest impact to the business. An excellent communicator and mediator, you are someone who can obsess over details whilst always keeping the bigger picture in mind. You’ll be comfortable wearing many hats (from user advocate to business analyst) and enjoy juggling these responsibilities. You’ll understand the business need for the features you’re championing, and convey this with your excellent communication skills, aligning and empowering the engineering team. Above all, you’re someone who enjoys a challenge and gets great satisfaction from seeing a project through from inception to launch.
Efforts include performing comparative research, crafting business rules, leading interface UX, and confirming choices with subject matter experts. You will work with marketing, design and development team members to guide those aspects.

Continuously develop a holistic product strategy for key opportunities while working closely with our technology and cross-functional teams
Manage the digital product backlog, including gathering requirements, run tech team stand-ups, and maintain the roadmap
Prioritize goals, build consensus across teams, and clearly communicate objectives
Understand overall company performance/priorities and translate these into product roadmap decisions
Collect data across the business to guide the team towards data-driven decisions
Develop hypotheses for A/B testing and optimize how our users shop for housing rentals
Conduct ongoing competitive analysis of other sites, apps, and products to continually identify ways to improve our user experience
Analyze user behavior via data/analytics and identify opportunities for conversion improvement
Define and track metrics to assess success and failure of products, while ensuring the team and stakeholders are aligned on goals
Perform user interviews of actual June Homes members
Translate ideas and theory into data informed solutions the business can use to grow - we are looking for someone with a practical approach to digging in and doing what needs to be done to get the job done.
Ensure that the Product Development Backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to the rest of the company
Developing user stories and defining acceptance criteria. Planning deliverables and product launches, working closely with Customer Success and Marketing
You’ll be scoping the complexity of building new features and understanding how these features will impact different areas departments of the business.
Defining and analysing product KPIs (analytics) to suggest improvements or new features
Requirements
5+ years of direct experience in product management and experience of designing, developing, and deploying web-based products using Agile methodologies
Strong technical understanding of Internet and mobile technologies, experience with HTML, CSS, MarvelApp, Zeplin
Demonstrated ability to conceive and iterate product features requirements based on customer development, data, analytics, and strategy
Ability to define feature success metrics and estimate the effect from product changes
Power user of analytics tools and knowledge of how to use them to surface valuable insights, some experience with SQL would be a plus
Understanding the necessary product math such as the difference between the mean and median, cohort and segment, progressive and marginal pricing
Capable of balancing user and business needs while remaining flexible in a fast-changing startup environment
Excellent presentation and collaboration skills, ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Solid storytelling skills, ability to present a compelling narrative
Experience working in an Agile environment and with tools such as JIRA/Trello, Confluence, Aha
Experience working with remote distributed teams, experience working across several time zones
Happy to work with a range of timelines and pivot when things don’t go as planned
