The Job
WarnerMedia is looking for a razor-sharp, analytical and socially-savvy individual as Manager, Product Strategy to grow the Launchpad business. Born out of its social roots, Launchpad has emerged as a powerful eco-system, connecting the world's most influential voices and storytellers with brands. With its use of technology through human analyses and machine learning, Launchpad delivers an unparalleled experience to the right people at just the right moment, maximizing brand impact across all of our advertising-supported brands (CNN, Bleacher Report, Adult Swim, Team Coco, etc.).

As Manager of Product Strategy, you will define the business strategy, value proposition and product roadmap for strategic new businesses that build on Launchpad and AT&T's capabilities. This role requires both a product management background and entrepreneurial mindset.

The Daily

  • Support the development of business plans and go-to-market strategy for new businesses building on the success of Launchpad combined with powerful data and platforms from AT&T and Xandr.
  • Own 1-2 specific new products and steward their journey through the product lifecycle - from ideation to conception to business planning to prototyping to launch & scale.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to translate high level process goals into specific product requirement scopes with appropriate documentation, while concurrently working with and managing feedback from multiple stakeholders across multiple teams.
  • Be the subject matter expert for your products, their uses cases, and all relevant capabilities.
  • Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the offering's ability to meet its strategic, financial, and technical goals.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to design development process, to build POCs and beta opportunities to validate market readiness.
  • Leverage our combined breadth of data/analytics to make decisions, but know how to make the call when all the data isn't there based on a hypothesis-driven approach.
  • Work closely with various teams including WarnerMedia Data Platforms, Technology, Research and Ad Ops as well as Xandr Data, Xandr Media and Xandr Platform teams to develop and scale new Launchpad businesses.

The Essentials

  • 3-5 years of experience working as a product strategist in a high-growth, fast-paced environment at a startup or large company in the media industry OR as a management consultant in a top-tier strategy consulting firm.
  • Experience in developing business plans and managing a new product from conception to launch is essential.
  • Prior experience working with data-driven, advanced advertising solutions teams with a deep knowledge of the media landscape is preferred.
  • Prior experience in the digital advertising space is a plus.
  • Exceptional work-planning, pacing and organizational skills.
  • Supreme attention to detail with an ability to problem-solve business issues.
  • Strong quantitative as well as analytical skills and an aptitude for data-driven decision-making and translating deep learnings into actionable recommendations.
  • Able to operate independently as well as collaborating in a team structure.
  • MBA a plus.
