The Role:

The Senior Product Manager will own a key new feature set that will allow teachers to plan and sequence curriculum. You will leverage your deep understanding of teachers and administrators, in-product behavioral data, and insights to effectively prioritize and execute against the roadmap to drive frequency of use and high quality engagement. You will partner with key stakeholders across Content, Customer, Marketing, Product Design, and Product Analytics to build solutions that meet the needs of our users. This role will partner closely with Product leadership to develop a cohesive roadmap that aligns with the overall business and product strategy, delivering user value and business impact. You will be deeply involved in the entire product development life cycle, from product discovery to definition and delivery. You will also play a critical role in optimizing key features to achieve our engagement goals.

Why You’ll Love This Role:

This role sits at the critical intersection of content and product, innovatively building a new way for teachers to engage with Newsela as a core curriculum resource. The strategy and vision you help transform into reality will directly impact the learning and teaching experience of over 37 million students and 2.5 million teachers across the U.S. You will have the opportunity to help shape the future of K-12 education by building and delivering delightful, engaging, intuitive products, and will help influence our product roadmap as we evolve our product suite. You’ll also get to work closely with our content product managers who define our portfolio learning, and will partner across the organization with Go-To-Market and Technology teams to influence strategy and execution of work.

Why We’ll Love You:

You are a creative, methodical product manager with 5+ years experience building, refining, and optimizing a digital product ecosystem. You clearly and convincingly use data to make smart decisions about where to focus in order to achieve product goals, particularly in content-heavy experiences. You have a deep understanding of content ecosystems and also understand user behavior in navigating and exploring all forms of content, including complete curriculum resources, articles, video, audio, and have built products and/or features that enhance how users experience content (e.g. interactive video, slides, etc.). You also understand technology well enough to break down work into achievable 2-week intervals, and know how to prioritize work to achieve value as quickly as possible while optimizing your team for value delivery. You’re a flexible, effective communicator, able to fluidly translate product needs and insights across technical, operational, design, and leadership audiences. While not required, experience in EdTech is a plus.
