Senior Product Manager, Financial Engineering

The Role

Cedar is looking for a Senior Product Manager, Financial Engineering to work alongside Cedar’s team of data engineers and data scientists and members of Cedar’s strategic finance and accounting teams! At a high level, the role will involve:
- Product Discovery: driving product discovery with internal teams to identify problems worth solving and validating solutions
- Product Development: working with engineering, data science, and strategic finance/accounting to execute on the strategy for and launch of financial data products
- Collaboration: working closely with users to measure success of products and finding opportunities for improvement
Open to candidates based in NYC, San Francisco, or Salt Lake City where Cedar’s offices are as well as remote candidates!
Responsibilities
- Establish the roadmap for financial data products and applications in support of Cedar’s strategic finance goals
- Lead execution of the roadmap with the product development team (engineering, data science)
- Work cross-functionally with internal partners on Strategic Finance and Accounting to put together specs and implement features
- Develop and share thought leadership around your domain
- Define measurement strategies for your team and your products’ success
Required Skills & Experience
- Effective communicator, both written and oral
- Experience working on data teams or on data-oriented problems
- Track record of delivery in constantly evolving, highly collaborative, cross functional-stakeholder environments
- Proficient with modern data tools such as Looker/Tableau
- Ability to write simple queries and understand data structures (e.g., SQL, ETLs, and databases)
- Comfortable solving big, ambiguous problems
- 3+ years of product management experience working directly with engineers and data scientists
Bonus Qualifications
- Previous experience with building products, reporting and services for finance organizations
- Knowledge of ERP platforms
- Validated experience in the healthcare space (providers, insurance companies, tech companies…), specifically within the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), Electronic Medical Record (EMR), or patient engagement spaces
