Project Manager (Cash), Finance Systems
About the Role
WeWork is currently seeking a Project Manager, Finance Systems experienced in business process transformation and leading high-performing teams. The role will focus primarily on projects in the realm of Cash Management, helping improve reconciliation considering all components that impact the cash world. The ideal candidate will have a combination of experience managing complex global projects (experience with Workday Financials is a plus), along with multiple other integrated systems. This person will work closely with company leaders in the Finance, Shared Services, and Technology organizations on strategic system initiatives to elicit requirements, create and execute on project plans, assess system changes and cross-functional impact/risk, run comprehensive testing and deliver impactful change management across all end users. They will balance multiple projects at once and drive high-velocity change, and know when to escalate risks and issues. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, motivated, resourceful and collaborative.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage multiple Cash focused projects including new features, integrations, Workday releases, feature redesigns, as well as interact with other 3rd party and proprietary tools
Identify opportunities for business transformation to increase revenue, decrease cost and improve operating efficiency and scalability.
Consult with business sponsors to create new project justifications and prioritize the existing portfolio according to business drivers.
Scope, plan, implement and support various projects through complete software development life cycle across finance functions
Develop and manage detailed project plans for complex projects with strong change control.
Develop detailed system requirements, test plans and training materials.
Lead all testing efforts and drive the remediation of defects encountered.
Ensure comprehensive change management including change communications, user training and ongoing education.
Manage project vendors and consultants, as necessary, to ensure streamlined communication, delineation of responsibility and adequate business & technical support
Job Requirements
7+ years of experience in a Project/Product Management, Product Owner, Business Analyst, and/or Process Engineering role working with Finance ERP systems. Workday preferred.
Illustrated familiarity with the Cash close process, as well as previous interactions with industry leading payment processors (Adyen, Stripe, etc…) preferred
Industry experience in Real Estate/Hospitality/Retail with multi-unit and international businesses is a plus
Experience with Alternative Revenue streams and Mergers and Acquisitions integrations
Outstanding negotiation, facilitation, and consensus building skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, subject matter experts, and 3rd party vendors.
Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and execute in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a strong work ethic and ownership mentality
Experience in SDLC Agile methodology, running Sprint ceremonies and using PM tools to capture Epics, user stories, test documentation, sign-offs, etc. JIRA and Smartsheets is preferred.
Expert Excel, Visio and PowerPoint Skills
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field. MBA a plus.
Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, PMP, PMI-PBA, CBAP or CCBA is preferred
