Sr. Product Manager (Commerce)

Summary
At discovery+, we are experiencing explosive growth, reaching over 20M+ subscribers in our first year, and partnering with dozens of the world's largest cable, carrier, and DTC companies in two dozen countries worldwide - and counting. The discovery+ Global Monetization and Subscription team is looking for a Senior Product Manager to deliver the best consumer-facing subscription, bundles, and add-on purchase experience in the world. As part of this rapidly growing, high-impact team, you will lead key aspects of discovery+ DTC & partner commerce by setting vision, goals and objectives for how our prospects and customers will discover and buy subscriptions across our expanding catalog.
Responsibilities
The Senior Product Manager, Commerce will own the customer experience for stand-alone, bundled, and add-on subscriptions enabling fans of Discovery content discover and buy one-to-many products that unlock the programming they love in easy to understand, scalable, and profitable ways. You will be at the forefront of introducing a world of unscripted, studio, sports, franchise, and interactive content to new and existing discovery+ and partner customers.
The Senior Product Manager, Commerce should have experience in eComm, SKU & catalog bundling, upsells & add-ons, identity management, transactions, fulfillment, subscription management, and systems integrations in DTC, CPG, Retail, and/or similar on a global scale; international expansion experience is ideal.
The Senior Product Manager, Commerce owns:
- The envisioning, research, justification, and building of multi-product first & third-party subscription commerce experiences that are continually improved to deliver customer and business value.
- Working with internal teams to integrate these products & services into discovery+ and partner systems across web, mobile, OTT, CTV, Game Consoles, and Set Top Boxes
- Defining and achieving KPI's and OKR's tied to the products that you own.
Qualifications
- 4+ years experience in commerce with the DTC, retail, CPG, and/or DTC B2C and/or B2B2C space; media industry and international consumer product experience experience a plus,
- Experience in working with first & third-party multi-product & add-on purchases, payment, billing, entitlements related solutions across web, mobile, OTT, CTV, Gaming Consoles, and Set Top Boxes.
- Experience in designing and delivering growth-oriented projects, focused on acquiring, converting, and retaining DTC customers.
- Hands-on experience in A/B & multivariate testing, and analyzing & interpreting data.
- Experience in working with cross functional, global teams, including Design, User Experience, Research, Marketing, Legal, Finance, and Engineering.
- Detail-oriented, operationally-minded with the ability to offer insights and suggestions based on customer feedback, data, and external market forces.
- Comfortability in advocating and presenting product decisions to executive stakeholders and third-party business partners.
- Openness to learn, collaborate, and advocate for ideas and teams.
- BS/BA degree required; Master's Degree is a plus.
