A Better opportunity

The Customer 360 Team at Better is searching for a Sr. Product Manager to establish a new centralized customer data foundation, which will take Better’s customer experience and business to a different level. The centralized customer data access point can be leveraged across the Better organization, creating a real Customer 360 view and helping us to optimize the experience throughout the customer journey. The new analytics can be used to boost our funnel conversion and further expand our customer base.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Partner with the Engineering, Design, Sales, Operations, and other Product teams to deeply understand the problem space and to prioritize opportunities
  • Identify near-term and strategic initiatives to establish and improve the customer profile
  • Develop and socialize the long term vision with the cross-functional teams, strive to drive roadmap alignments across multiple initiatives
  • Lead the day to day development and support effort by partnering with the engineering team
  • Identify the tools and experiences needed to let customer-facing teams be successful in their current roles
  • Define team-level KPIs and objectives
  • Bring your solutions to market through ownership of the full product development process: problem identification, solution design, spec, implementation, and validation
  • Manage competing priorities with consistency and transparency
  • This role is designated as ‘Remote Mode,’ and employees are not expected to report into a Better office at any time. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is not required unless fully remote employees attend an onsite, in-person meeting, office event, or otherwise interface with Better employees and/or customers in person.

About You:

  • At least 5-8 years of product management experience at a high performing tech company
  • You have experience building large data intelligence projects
  • You are familiar with large infrastructure work and have experience working with API integrations
  • You have worked with many cross-functional teams to drive complex projects to success
  • You’re an analytical, metrics-driven thinker who is deeply empathetic and leads with a user-centered approach
  • Proven track record of strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills. You have excellent verbal and written communication
  • Structured thinking. You are an organized thinker who can zoom in and between the low-level details of a complex project and the overall picture of how those details fit into the goal. You explain things in a way that others can understand how each discussion fits into that overall picture while making sure that critical details aren’t missed
  • You have a history of listening to users, understanding their needs, and creating improvements to meet those needs
  • You learn new technologies quickly and can comfortably and effectively discuss the tradeoffs and benefits of various approaches with your engineering peers
  • You’re committed to collaboration and you can work well with other business units to build iterative solutions that continuously deliver value
  • You have a proven track record of entering a new space and building expertise rapidly
