About this Role:

You are a key member of the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) leadership team and oversee all the programs for building and driving adoption of tools and processes that the Live Person engineering team love. You help organize engagements where SREs can embed into development teams and make deep meaningful contributions that are sustainable even after they disengage. You work closely with engineering teams across the globe and define metrics to help them analyze the health of Live Person and the cost of running the business. You are the chief of staff for the global SRE organization and report directly to the VP of SRE & Infrastructure.

In this role you will:

  • Drive a DevOps culture of continuous improvements for process, tooling, and services working across both the SRE and engineering teams.
  • Build sustainable frameworks for maintaining the rhythm of project management across the organization.
  • Manage budget working closely with the finance team and dedicated business analysts as well as helping service teams understand their consumption patterns.
  • Work on the most complex technical issues related to Operational Excellence and provide technical program status updates to the executive leadership team.
  • Magnify the customer’s voice by providing data and analysis to support cross-functional changes across the business.

Your qualifications are: 

  • 10+ years of experience working on online products and facilitating cross-org collaboration.
  • 3+ years of experience working with service owners running as DevOps teams in public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Successfully led a SRE transformation or equivalent of another organization from a traditional operating model.
  • Experience with a wide range of technologies including monitoring, CI/CD, cloud native infrastructure and tools, as well as have a strong track record of unifying approaches around these and driving adoption.
  • You define order and structure out of ambiguity.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
