Survey Product Manager

As a Survey Product Manager, you will be part of a team that is responsible for meeting the competing demands of the business to grow market share and profits by building and leveraging our 1stparty self-declared data asset. The Product Manager will work cross-functionally with various departments within the organization on a regular basis. As part of the Product Management team, you bridge the technical (Engineering and Design) and business worlds, (Sales and Operations) as you bring to market new and extend existing consumer survey products. Being extremely entrepreneurial is required to innovate and execute product initiatives across the company. You must enjoy spending time doing market research, interacting with clients and client facing teams, understanding senior leader’s feedback, and gaining insights from our extensive first party and behavioral dataset to understand opportunities/problems, and find innovative solutions that drive value for consumers and stakeholders.
The Survey Product Manager's role is to use qualitative and quantitative data to identify, prioritize, and execute on new and enhanced product opportunities. Key areas of focus will include expanding consumer audience insights, utilizing the survey to drive monetization, standardizing data collection, improving consumer experience, and improving the survey management and operations process. The Product Manager will be at the core of our survey product development team, independently leading projects through the full product development life-cycle from concept through implementation and launch.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain relationships with Fluent’s key internal and external stakeholders and partners
- Develop a deep understanding of the consumer acquisition marketplace, competitive landscape, stakeholder needs, and core survey technology platform
- Lead planning, prioritization, management, and execution of the survey product roadmap
- Scope and prioritize features based on business and customer impact
- Evangelize survey data products with internal and external stakeholders
- Own the survey product development life-cycle from idea to launch
- Leverage lean/agile processes to manage, plan, implement, and iterate
- Define and analyze metrics to measure product success
- Communicate product performance across the organization
- Communicate and coordinate with various departments to ensure that project timelines are met, and projects are implemented efficiently and effectively
Requirements
- 2+ years of product/project management experience building and launching successful data-driven web-based products ideally at a media or digital marketing company
- Requires an understanding of market research concepts
- Working knowledge of SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics, etc. is a plus
- A technical background with understanding of software development and web technologies
- Demonstrated ability to partner with business, engineering, design and data analytics teams
- Entrepreneurial, proactive, efficient and goal oriented
- Naturally curious with a desire to learn and make things better
- Thinks strategically with a keen ability to turn complex problems into simple and intuitive solutions
- Operates as a matrix manager, coordinating resources from multiple areas
- Communicates effectively through written and verbal methods
- Identifies trends and patterns within datasets, verifies data for accuracy, and uses qualitative skills to make sound decisions with incomplete information
- Experience understanding large datasets using tools and techniques such as SQL, pivot tables, and lookups
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or business
