EquiLend is seeking a Securities Lending Trading Product Strategist to work with our clients to develop a strong understanding of their business needs and identify potential technological solutions for existing product lines and also new offerings.

As a Product Strategist, you will work closely with clients, the Trading Product Owner and Scrum Teams to execute projects from inception through production release. This individual will be hands on and function in a Subject Matter Expert (SME) role to help guide the product development process. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain excellent business relationships across our client base
  • Assist in identifying product opportunities, and writing up business cases, including ROI modeling, and high level revenue/cost analysis
  • Obtain detailed client product feedback and assist the product owner and various team members in the software development lifecycle to incorporate the feedback whenever relevant and appropriate
  • Establish and facilitate client working group meetings for product related topics
  • Provide demonstrations, onboarding support, SME client training for the trading platform
  • Participate in business planning and development meetings on a regular basis
  • Lead and facilitate client meetings and internal discussions in order to define and prioritize business requirements
  • Dissect high-level information into details and communicate these details in a manner understood by relevant audiences
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute User Acceptance Tests with clients

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5-7 years' of experience in the securities finance or financial services industry 
  • Knowledge of securities finance and capital markets a must
  • Strong grasp of technology and user experience a must
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills internally and externally to help resolve issues
  • Experience in facilitating discussions with clients and internal teams
  • Demonstrates ability to build rapport and interact effectively with all levels and across all areas of the organization
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to details and be meticulous on deliverables
  • Ability to practice good judgment and uphold strong work ethics is a must
