We are seeking a seasoned Product Manager to join our dynamic team in the New Jersey office. You will work directly for the Head of Product and Strategy and will be responsible for building out a US based Product team and partnering with the VP of Engineering to build out a US engineering team. You will be expected to hire, train and mentor the team in the art and science of product development. You will work with the Tel Aviv Product lead and VP of R&D evolving and improving our product management processes and engineering practices, and you will be responsible for putting them into practice in the NJ location. You will lead by example, managing 1 key product  engaging with customers, gathering requirements, writing specs, managing backlog, working with the engineers, doing acceptance testing, and working with marketing and sales on go-to-market strategies. You will be expected to own the roadmap for your product(s), and to work with the head of product on building the company’s overall product roadmap.

Your Day-to-Day Role

• Strong communications skills and a knowledge of when and how to have conversations that focus on the details and when to present a strategic view.
• Experience managing technical SaaS products, building a vision for them and engaging deeply with engineering counterparts on detailed requirements.
• Using data to guide product decisions and direction. 
• Leading / working with UX teams. 
• Analyzing competitor’s offerings and comparing them to yours.

Your Work Experience

• Training and developing PM resources.
• At least 10 years of experience with enterprise software. 
• Experience or familiarity with the Salesforce ecosystem.
• Direct experience building products in the infrastructure software space.
• Meaningful time working in a technical role as part of a development group
• At least 5 years working with Agile and Lean product development methodologies and adapting them to different team sizes / types. 
• At least 7 years of leading a product management team, including working with customers, prospects, pre- and post-sales teams, marketing and engineering organizations. 

Important Details

This is a full time position. The candidate could work out of our New Jersey office to maximize interaction with HQ employees. OwnBackup is a global team though, and we’re going for top-talent, so for the right candidate there could be an opportunity to work remotely.
