We’re looking for a Vice President - Product

Built In is seeking a VP, Product to lead the product management organization, product planning and execution of its product initiatives. 

You should be a strong and passionate product leader with experience managing product strategy scaling a company through various stages of growth (e.g. Series C, pre - IPO, or M&A). As a team leader, you should have strong people management skills at all levels and build a culture of commercial and technical product outcome. You thrive in an environment with complexity and ambiguity, have strong cross-functional communication, are a coach but can step-in and be a player,  and will partner with various teams, both internally and externally, to deliver top-notch products. The position reports to the Chief Product Officer (CPO).

How you’ll contribute
  • Lead product management function, driving product planning and create outcome driven product roadmap for B2B customers and B2C audience marketplace 
  • Collaborate with technology teams, translating product requirements into technical stories, and ensuring delivery of quality product that delivers customer outcome and delights users
  • Engage with commercial stakeholders incorporating customer feedback in product planning, and balancing competing tactical requests into a time-sensitive strategic roadmap
  • Engage with customers and users on a regular basis to uncover implicit and explicit needs, translate into product hypothesis which are tested and refined to deliver solutions 
  • Be a coach and player working with a talented product team organized around B2B, B2C, Data & Business Intelligence, Growth and Platform in a unified cohesive product roadmap 
  • Utilize agile product development practices, integration and release methodologies. Strong mix of both management and technical skills—you will create requirements and also execute on it.
  • Partner with marketing and UX teams to research competitive trends for customers and users in to build differentiated product capabilities and take product to market
  • Awareness of latest Martech and HR Tech trends and best practices, with ability to choose what is practicable and what advancements best suit the needs of the company and its users.
What you need
  • Minimum of 10 - 15 years product management experience with both B2B and B2C products
  • 5+ years in a product management role building and managing SaaS solutions with content and data, and recruiting, retaining and growing individual contributors 
  • Proven experience leading and working with engineering, business product teams, UX Design to launch products and features. Experience in influencing cross-functional leaders and team members in a matrixed organization. 
  • Excellent communication skills (presentation, verbal, and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with agile software development and project management software.
  • Domain expertise with marketing technologies (martech) including marketing automation (e.g. Email, Salesforce), dynamic multi-channel content personalization, audience targeting and retargeting, CRM,  customer data platforms, and AI and ML solutions. 
  • Experience with agile software development practices, integration and release methodologies. 
  • Awareness of latest Martech and HR Tech trends and best practices, with ability to choose what is practicable and what advancements best suit the needs of the company and its users.
