ABOUT THE ROLE:

As VP of Product, you’ll report directly to the Chief Product Officer and will be accountable for the overall success of our software product portfolio. This is a key role in helping to shape and drive the future success of the company as the category leader in the market. You will work closely with our senior leadership to define product strategy, build roadmaps, and lead our product development efforts around key aspects of the VTS experience. 

You’ll build, manage, and mentor a team of senior product managers and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that includes UX Designers, Software Engineers and Product Marketing Managers. This is an amazing opportunity to lead a team that drives everything our customers see and use every day.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead a product management team that works with cross-functional partners comprised of engineering, design and data research
  • Work with customers, product marketing and customer success to carefully understand and analyze user needs and turn those into a product plan, roadmap and detailed specifications
  • Develop a deep understanding of the customer, and create processes to institutionalize the collection and incorporation of customer feedback and market research
  • Foster a product culture that understands the importance of rapid testing, learning and iteration
  • Reinforce continuous innovation and a safe-to-fail environment where it’s okay to take chances, while also mitigating business-threatening risks
  • Become a domain expert on commercial real estate technology and products and an empathetic partner to our customers
  • Develop product managers by helping to set product strategy for them and coaching them on the mechanics of being a great product manager
  • Understand VTS’ strategic and competitive position and deliver products that help transform the industry

ABOUT YOU

  • Proven senior leader with a track record of growing teams that deliver serious impact in scale-up companies and 10+ years of experience in software product management.
  • Outcome centric product management approach - focuses on user problems and building solutions around them that engage users
  • Strategic product thinker - you can examine the changing landscape and use that information to define product strategy and prioritize the problems to solve
  • Leadership on multiple well-known products throughout their life cycles, from idea conception to product release and maintenance
  • Process Oriented - You have a well-defined product management process and you can run that process from start to finish – from user research to product roadmaps and prototypes
  • Technically proficient and able to work closely and get buy-in from engineers
  • Proven success leading a team of high-performing product managers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that allows you to influence other teams, create clarity, and drive focus on complex problems
  • Player Coach – You can guide others in their work even better than you can do it yourself
  • Commercial Real Estate and SaaS experience preferred
