Code Climate is the world’s largest engineering intelligence platform, helping over 100,000 developers and software engineering leaders across thousands of engineering teams improve the efficacy of their people, process, and code. Our product suite helps run software engineering teams -- from improving the developer’s day to day experience to providing engineering leaders with intelligent data to help them make important decisions.

Code Climate has the opportunity to elevate the way engineering organizations build software by bringing data-driven insights into the art and science of programming. We’re looking for a bright, driven, empathetic VP Product to help make Code Climate’s technology an integral part of as many engineering teams as possible. You’ll lead the way for increased integrations while balancing the needs of SMB and enterprise clients.

As VP Product, you’ll work closely with the CEO, engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success to develop a complete understanding of our customers’ challenges and curate a roadmap tailored to solving their acute needs. You’ll put the departmental structure in place, playing a critical role in guiding overall product direction, developing our systems and processes for product management, and ensuring we deliver the best possible experience to our customers while driving business results.

  • Executive & Cross-Functional Leadership

    • Manage budget with revenue accountability tied to multiple products
    • Bring a philosophy around product tradeoffs and prioritization based on solving important problems vs. chasing near-term revenue
    • Collaborate and work extensively with the engineering team in the co-creation of products, ensuring predictability and accountability of sprints
  • Domain

    • Ability to quickly identify the technical challenges and complexities of developing products & features to build lasting products that scale
  • Execution
    • Build and ship world-class products, deeply understanding how software gets developed and delivered inside of companies.
    • Drive plans through execution, implement strong product methodologies, build a sense of product ownership driven by agility and velocity across the product team that enables growth, innovation, and scale of the company.
    • Create the road-map, adaptively planning forward, and managing the implementation with engineering & design
  • Team Leadership
    • Recruit, inspire, mentor and lead a diverse, world-class product team
    • Provide a clear progression for career growth of current & future team members
