Overview

The position will assist in managing all physical, technical and personal security programs for VICE productions and facilities globally. This will include assessing the security requirements of each production during the preparation stages and being directly involved in implementing those plans throughout the shoot and post production periods. This position will also directly support security operations, emergency response, and business resilient across all VICE offices. The position is based in Brooklyn, and will report into the Global Director Security & Risk

Key Responsibilities  

• Development and standardization of security policy processes and procedures across all Vice productions globally
• Assist in assessing all potential security risks at a local level and manage appropriate solutions to mitigate those risks
• Contribute to implementing and improving corporate security procedures and risk mitigation protocols across Vice offices globally
• Creation of a security conscious culture at Vice and awareness programs
• Assist in vetting and incorporating 3rd party security vendors
• Provide input and strategy around Business Continuity Planning, Disaster Recovery, and response to Emergency situations for local offices
• Prepare reports relating to internal investigations of any losses or violations of regulations, policies, procedures and manage
• Support special event day to day security operations, including guard force management, response, special event management
• Be a key member of the Emergency Response Team and respond to all incidents 24 x 7 ensuring rapid support for teams and offices
• Assist the Crisis Management Team during any emergency/crisis situation
• Prepare and provide a monthly security operations report across verticals and region

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferably in security or related field or supplemented with law enforcement / military experience
• 3+ years of experience in following or related disciplines: corporate security management, security and asset policy development, transportation/supply chain security, situational training or security infrastructure design.
• Security risk assessment and audit experience, knowledge of security standards such as ISO27001
• Experience working in the news or film industry or related fields is desired
• Solid understanding of infosec protocols
• Experience in disaster recovery as well as risk and compliance management
