We Make Websites is the go-to agency for Shopify Plus. We design, develop and optimise e-commerce websites for the world's most ambitious brands. Brands we work with include: PepsiCo, Bulletproof Coffee, Harper Collins, and The Economist.

We’re a team of 40+ designers, developers, solutions architects, e-comm consultants and marketers - spread across our London and New York offices. We’ve doubled in size over the last year and are looking for more bright, ambitious and enthusiastic people to join our team.

What we're looking for

We are seeking an individual with strong relationship-building skills who can provide top tier client service, research and market analysis.  You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of key clients and understand how our range of service offerings can maintain and grow their business. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how they reach their audience.

 

This will involve the ability to represent the We Make Websites brand, defining the e-commerce roadmap with your client, and distilling their goals into a deliverable action plan for our amazing development team to deliver.

 

The ideal candidate will be an innovative thinker, commercially aware and experienced in creating strong, long-lasting relationships to drive revenue. The role is exciting and varied, so we are looking for someone who excels in a fast-paced environment and can identify solutions under pressure.

What you’ll do

Lead creative brainstorms and planning sessions, collaboration will be at the heart of what you do. You’ll get to work with our inspiring team of Design, UX, Solutions and Development experts to devise your strategies, harnessing their skills to offer ongoing optimisation of your clients’ e-commerce performance.

Practical experience

  • 2+ years’ experience working in a client-facing role at a digital agency or in-house in an e-commerce role.

  • Ability to demonstrate detailed knowledge of e-commerce landscape and trends.

  • Experience delivering successful digital campaigns and/or projects for a variety of clients.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent knowledge of the e-commerce ecosystem, retail operations and digital marketing.

  • Experience of delivering excellent customer service.

Bonus points if you have

  • Experience using and extracting insights from analytics platforms.

  • Knowledge and understanding of multi-currency selling/internationalisation.

  • Experience using the Shopify platform.

What you’ll be doing

  • Proactively identifying opportunities to improve conversion, design, UX and site performance for your Shopify merchants.

  • Devising e-commerce strategies, proposals and roadmaps on an annual and quarterly basis.

  • Owning client relationships and delivering against SLAs. You’ll host weekly calls and monthly meetings, as well as being your client’s go-to via email.

  • Ensuring the client brief is digested, clear and ready for the production team to action.

  • Carrying out insight analysis to inform planning and quarterly pitches.

  • Regularly feedback insights and recommendations to agency and client teams that will help evolve strategies.

  • Managing and communicating ongoing client schedule and workflow.
