Apparel Production Associate
The Role:
Peloton is seeking an Apparel Production Associate to join our team in New York, NY. In this
role, you will manage the deliverables, timelines and production quality for Men’s Apparel
and Accessories. You will be responsible for coordinating internal communication for time
and action items to ensure production deliveries are met and product is manufactured to
Peloton’s standards.
Responsibilities:
- Support and facilitate the end to end production process for Men’s Apparel & Accessories in collaboration with the Production Manager & cross functional partners
- Manage tracking tools and maintain WIP reports for weekly production deliverables from vendors partners
- Closely follow up on pending production shipments and communicate delivery dates to Merchandising and Logistics at the weekly shipment meeting
- Maintain a detailed and organized Production WIP and communicate deliverables to Technical Design and Merchandising
- Manage graphics and printing processes with Peloton print houses; domestic and overseas
- Track production orders with 3rd party vendors to be sent to print houses, follow up on shipment receipts, and communication to actualize receipts
- Issue all printing purchase orders and maintain updates in ERP system
- Review and negotiate product costing for Men’s/Printing/Accessories in partnership with the Production Manager, update and track costs in PLM sheets
- Partner with Technical Design for to meet production milestones
- Organize comment deadlines for weekly fittings to maintain product schedules
- Work closely with vendors to compile upcoming sample shipment dates and project out a future schedule for technical design
- Foster cross functional partnerships with Merchandising, Technical Design and Logistics teams at Peloton
- Own and communicate pending items, production deliveries, costs and T&A
- Manage internal communication capturing all changes for Men’s Apparel and Accessories
- Organize agenda and take all notes during the weekly production meeting, report and follow up on pending items and close the loop on communication
- Report on all milestones and calendar deadlines during the weekly production meeting
- Partner closely with the production and logistic teams for packing list approval and shipment schedules to ensure timely delivery of product
- Liaison with accounts receivable for invoice processing
Qualifications:
● 4-6 years of experience in apparel development & production, men’s and active
market preferred
● A go getter with a positive, no task too big or too small attitude
● Highly organized & detail oriented with strong time management skills
● Experience with apparel PLM & ERP systems, Netsuite a plus
● Proven ability to manage the product life cycle
● Strong knowledge of fabrics, garment construction and garment testing
● Strong written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to effectively
organize multiple channels of communication
● Eagerness and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, driven by teamwork,
collaboration and innovation
● Lead by example and assume a leadership role when the manager is not present
● Comfortable working with various levels within the organization
● Proficient in Excel & G Suite
