Associate Technical Project Manager, Analytics
THE ROLE
The Peloton Data Science team is seeking a technical, hands-on, results driven Associate Technical Project Manager to add firepower to our Project Management team. This individual will play a key role in raising the bar for the Data Science team’s processes and engagement execution, in alignment with organization-wide goals and team roadmaps. The Associate Technical Project Manager will be responsible for supporting small and medium projects within the Data Science domain, driving progress against established timelines, producing key project deliverables, and effectively communicating project status to key stakeholders. In addition to scoped projects, this individual will lead initiatives related to audit and compliance processes to ensure the team is efficiently and effectively adhering to the mandated regulatory requirements in place for the organization. The initial project within this role will include an uplift of our existing Jira workflow and operational processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prioritize & plan execution of projects against tight deadlines within individual’s established set of assignments
- Develop relationships with, and ensure the appropriate participation of, key business stakeholders; serve as day-to-day point of contact on each assigned project
- Work with internal stakeholders to create detailed project plans & project documentation to deliver to relevant business units for project buy-in, inclusive of Accounting/Finance, Acquisition, Member Experience & Content, among others
- Identify resource requirements, task owners, milestones, dependencies & key risks
- Convene with senior project managers at regular cadence to report status across all projects and initiatives
- Identify opportunities for improvement & innovation for all DS related processes
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of project management, data science, analytics or business operations experience
- Energetic team player with excellent written, verbal, & conceptual skills
- Willingness to learn fast with a "roll-up-the-sleeves" & "get the job done" attitude
- Experience working in an agile setting with atlassian suite (Jira/Confluence), Smartsheet or other project management tools
- Experience working with Google Suite applications (Drive/Sheets/Docs)
- Ability to work effectively with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Able to learn new technologies & methodologies quickly
- Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
- A team player who is comfortable working with engineers, data scientists, analysts and product managers across the org on complex problems
- Proficiency with SQL preferred
- Experience working with Tableau, Looker, PowerBI or other visualization tools a plus
- Familiarity with SAP, Netsuite or other Enterprise Resource Planning platforms preferred
- Experience with GDPR, CCPA, and SOX Compliance a plus
