Overview
The Business Continuity Manager reports to Global Director of Security & Risk and assists in providing strategic implantation of the company BCP as well as performing operational tasks associated with resilience
Key Responsibilities
- Performs annual business impact analysis to identify points of vulnerability to assess the firm’s resilience to withstand business disruption, documents process dependencies and recommends mitigation strategies
- Establishes testing methodologies; plans and coordinates the testing of recovery support and business continuity procedures in different functional areas
- Manages day-to-day business continuity and disaster recovery tasks including table top exercises and evaluations
- Develops, coordinates, and maintains comprehensive business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure the ability to for the offices and/or technology platforms to recover in the event of an unforeseen disruption
- Liaise with IT team and assist in tailoring continuity plans
- Audits Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Plans, documents preparedness status and reports to management
- Supports pandemic planning activities
Crisis Management & Emergency Response
- Assists office-level and corporate response teams during emergency situations in the implementation of response and alternate operating strategies
- Serves as the administrator for the Emergency Notification
- Coordinates with global offices to ensure staff are properly trained on first-aid and emergency response plans and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Business, Information Management, or a related field
- 3+ years of direct work experience in the areas of business continuity or disaster recovery
- Capacity to undertake large, long-term projects, develop alternative methods to complete them, and implement solutions
- Strong analytical skills needed for all primary duties of position, including comprehending and communicating data
Preferred
- ABCP, CBCP or MBCI accreditation
- Technical writing ability an asset
- Skills in overall architecture (storage concepts, compute platforms, and networking)
- Understanding of application architectures including multi-tier applications and application interdependencies
