The Compliance Lead will focus on ensuring and driving team accountability and engagement. The Lead will oversee all projects assigned to direct reports, and report progress to the Manager. The Lead is expected to work closely with their Manager, the Carrier Management Team, in-house Insurance Specialist and Operation’s Team members across various departments.

What you'll do:

  • Revising procedures, reports etc. periodically to identify potential risks
  • Developing and overseeing policies to prevent or address violations of legal guidelines and internal policies
  • Draft, modify and implement policies / process changes in order to ensure compliance with changing regulations is achieved
  • Collaborate with department leads and Compliance Manager to monitor enforcement of standard operating procedures
  • Ensures accountability by holding self and others accountable to meet commitments
  • Monitor the work of direct reports & internal stakeholders when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide feedback
  • Drives engagement by creating a climate where people are motivated to do their best to help the organization achieve its objectives.
  • Be supportive and adaptable in an ever-evolving environment, multitasking, learning new systems and processes
  • Displays courage by stepping up to address difficult issues, saying what needs to be said
  • Host regular team meetings to communicate business goals, updates, process changes and any other pertinent information that will elevate the service of the Compliance team
  • The Compliance Team Lead will be responsible for reporting progress to the Compliance Manager and escalating any known issues
  • This role will oversee and coordinate activities across the team and for direct reports to keep pace. In addition, this position will be assigned performance reviews to complete each quarter in a timely basis.

  • You have a bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience); preferably experience in the transportation industry

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience in transportation logistics, insurance or FMCSA rules and regulations
