Customer Optimization Insights Manager at Newsela
The Customer Optimization team is charged with leading efforts that will enable Newsela’s Customer (Sales & Customer Success) organization to scale. In this newly created role, you will build the capabilities to measure the effectiveness and impact of the various initiatives the Optimization team pursues. You’ll lead and manage weekly reporting and prioritization meetings with Customer leadership that enable us to identify, resource, and map out the most impactful initiatives for our growth. You’ll develop and implement a standard reporting framework and toolset that can be used to measure the impact our projects have made on the business. In addition, you’ll build a team that will ensure the proper reports and dashboards are made available to the functions within the Customer organization to help them use data to better perform their roles.

With 3-5 years of experience in business/sales operations and/or data analysis roles, you have demonstrated success determining data requirements, creating reporting tools to interrogate and analyze data, and providing insights to the business to drive impactful change. You have an engine that never stops, and while being a data-minded professional, you are supremely operations-oriented and always looking for better, more scalable ways to do things. Your ability to dig deep into data as well as your ability to mentor junior data employees have made you a valuable resource in your previous roles because you’re able to identify and communicate insights to help business stakeholders make decisions. You should have strong experience working with large data sets across multiple systems. We happen to primarily use SFDC, Gainsight Looker, Snowflake and Netsuite, so experience with these systems is a huge plus.
