Our People team is seeking a DEIB Project Manager to help us create a positive employee experience across all Noom entities with empathy, resourcefulness, and a service-oriented mindset. The People Operations team acts as the central point of contact for all general inquiries, provides employee assistance and support, develops and maintains HR policies and processes, and provides transactional guidance to our ever-growing population of 3600+ employees across 39 states.

The DEIB (Diversity, Inclusion, Equity and Belonging) Project Manager will be a leader in our growing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Team, with a focus on supporting our employee resource group (ERG) program, Noom Affinity Group Program.  This person will help drive employee connection and engagement, as well as champion DEIB initiatives.   

What You'll Do:

Provide overall guidance to affinity group leaders, ensuring alignment on DEIB mission and goals and successful integration of strategic plans.

  • Provide guidance on DEIB strategy components that support or impact the affinity group program
  • In collaboration with the DEIB Resource and Communication Specialist/Manager and other communication stakeholders, assist affinity groups in developing communication strategies
  • Provide guidance on the development and implementation of enterprise-wide affinity group strategic goals
  • Manage and create collaborative opportunities between affinity groups and other enterprise teams
  • Evaluate needs across existing affinity groups and for new affinity groups
  • Review, analyze and revise overall program policies and procedures
  • Establish key progress indicators and benchmarks to assess the overall effectiveness and sustainability of the program; provide updates on progress toward benchmarks
  • Manage overall program processes and lead on recommendations for program changes/improvements
  • Develop guidance and a framework for affinity group budgets, membership records and budget management
  • Monitor all affinity group spaces regularly and provide direct support as needed in helping groups maintain safety within the space
  • Establish a recognition strategy for the overall affinity group program, individual groups and group leadership
  • Collaborate with group leaders to produce meaningful and engaging events and activities
  • Work with group leaders to create and execute strategies to achieve identified goals
  • Establish a framework for the recruitment and support of leadership sponsorship for all affinity groups
  • Partner with DEIB Education & Development Manager and other stakeholders to establish a professional development path for group leaders
  • Meet with affinity group leaders on a regular cadence (i.e. monthly, bi-monthly, etc) to support their individual development and group needs 

What We Look For:

  • +4 years of relevant human resource or diversity and inclusion experience
  • +2 years leading inclusion resource groups (employee resource groups, affinity groups, business resource groups, etc) 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology or related field; Graduate degree preferred
  • Experience leading collaboration with diverse networks and stakeholders
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to translate date into strategy
  • Strong program and project management skills
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with people of all backgrounds and identities to advance organizational culture
  • Demonstrated experience building relationships and communicating with cross-functional partners and stakeholders
  • Understanding of dimensions of diversity and intersectionality of identity
  • Demonstrated success in managing virtual and in-person interactions
  • Demonstrated experience managing sensitive and challenging conversations 
  • Demonstrated experience problem solving within teams
