Devron is building the first of its kind decentralized enterprise machine learning platform - with a focus on the cloud. The founding team has worked in entrenched industries where it’s nearly impossible to centralize large datasets due to sensitivity concerns, and our mission is to democratize decentralized data analytics to preserve privacy. We have engineered Devron’s cloud data platform so startups, SMBs, and large enterprises can now finally analyze sensitive consumer data while adhering to regulations, compliance, and privacy standards. Our vision: the very best user experience for an increasingly decentralized data world to tackle the challenges and opportunities of today where privacy is of utmost importance.

We have a clear vision: to develop a data platform backed with federated machine learning, that makes enterprise analytics affordable, seamless to use, and consistent to current data science experiences. This new innovative paradigm of decentralized machine learning focused on a cloud architecture combines the power of machine learning, modular pipelines, and data silos without worrying about redaction, anonymization, and duplication. We have deployed in several large and sensitive environments, enabling analysts and technologists to build decentralized analytics for end-use applications that touch-sensitive data — globally!

We are looking for strong technical foundations in data, distributed computing, and software engineering. We take in feedback daily, but simultaneously filter it through our lenses of privacy and security to output the best user experiences for engineers to build decentralized ML models.

We are looking for a Developer Advocate to help build meaningful and influential engagement with our growing community of engineers and developers. The ideal candidate is a developer or data engineer who is curious and loves working with new technologies and is passionate about data privacy. You also love to share whatever you've learned with all of your friends. If you enjoy learning about new technologies and find yourself writing and sharing sample code as you learn and experiment, you'll enjoy this role.

The Developer Advocate will work closely with executive leadership, product, engineering, and sales to understand our roadmap and create engaging content to drive demand for Devron. We are seeking engineers to join and lead our developer community at Devron.

What You'll Do:

  • Help to shape and deliver on our strategy to drive adoption of Devron's new approach to Federated Learning
  • Be a thought leader and influencer in the online developer and data engineering community by contributing deep technical content to the Devron blog, and building best practices in knowledge and user documents
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to develop joint solution architectures, code samples, demos, and presentations
  • Deliver compelling presentations, product demos, sample solutions, and drive community discussions to drive the adoption of Devron
  • Create and nurture relationships with key external influencers in the database, data engineering, and developer communities and participate in online community forums
  • Organize, speak at, and recruit for key events (e.g. meetups, user groups, hackathons, conferences) to reach a global community of developers and data engineers
  • Represent Devron at panel discussions, tech talks, industry and technology conferences, and events

What You'll Need:

  • Proven experience writing technical blogs. This could be a personal blog or a company/community blog (this role should be able to influence technical communities)
  • Strong presence in existing developers and data engineering communities, or influencer status on social media
  • Ability to develop, understand and explain technical solution architectures
  • Ability to write code
  • Experience in a related domain (data engineering, databases, analytics, Machine Learning)
  • Experience with modern data technologies like Amazon Pytorch DynamoDB, MongoDB, Segment, Apache Kafka, Elasticsearch

At Devron, we celebrate the diversity of our employees and our leadership. Devron is an equal employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status or any other characteristics protected by law.
