What this role is about:
As our ECC Training & Engagement Manager at RapidSOS, you’ll be responsible for owning training & development for all Emergency Communications Centers. This role requires you to develop training curriculums and materials regarding RapidSOS for regional, state level events, and national conferences. You will engage with public safety professionals and advocate for RapidSOS on social media, conferences, and individual communication centers.
What you’ll do:
Develop training curriculum and materials regarding RapidSOS products, integrations, and solutions
Support management of training portal in coordination with the product and public safety teams
Identify, schedule, manage, and conduct virtual and/or in-person training sessions with ECCs and/or Public Safety software partners
Advocate for RapidSOS on social media (in dispatcher groups, etc.)
Participate on behalf of RapidSOS within industry forums and discussion boards (e.g., APCO PSConnect, etc.)
Identify and conduct training at state and national conferences on behalf of RapidSOS
Evaluate training opportunities within the public safety ecosystem whereby RapidSOS could provide positive impacts
What we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:
Five or more years full-time 911 or public safety communications experience
Two or more years experience as Communications Training Officer in an Emergency Communications Center
Experience in creating and delivering training content in a virtual environment is preferred.
ENP and/or RPL certification preferred
Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to lead group discussion and build consensus
Two examples of previously developed training contents required
