What’s the vibe like in the office?

As a new employee in the NYC office, Kin + Carta provides the best of both worlds—a fun and innovative startup here with the rock-solid support of a 300+ team back in Chicago. Our team is incredibly talented and builds great products. Despite the high-level output, the vibe of the office is laid back and chill.

What makes someone successful on your team?

Being both accountable and gracious teammate as well as being a driven self-starter. Our team is made up incredible servant leaders as well as individuals who continuously make their own paths. To be successful with Kin + Carta, you must have a respect for your teammates, desire to lead, and an openness to being challenged and always learning.

Nate

Capability Lead

How do your team's ideas influence the company's direction?

We’ve been in growth-mode a few years. While we've scaled, we’ve been disciplined about the flat structure in order to maintain a low-power-distance culture. From entry level to CEO, everyone’s roles are interdependent so their responsibilities are equally important. We know that insight and inspiration will come from every corner of the company.

Mark

Chief Product Officer

What are some social events your company does?

We take culture seriously and always make sure to have events planned frequently that keep us all connected outside of our day-to-day roles. With a plethora of offices around the world, we structure global events each office can participate in on the same day like our Rosé Soiree, and our annual Grilled Cheese Cookoff!
