Pager is looking to hire an Technical Project Manager to manage enterprise-level projects with external clients and work with internal engineering squads as a scrum master. This is a hands-on position that requires strong discipline in project management, agile software development, client relationship building, and an optimistic “can do” attitude. You will partner with product & engineering leaders to set internal deadlines, deliver these projects on time, actively monitor and report out the progress, and coordinate cross-team interactions. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans with relevant stakeholders to monitor and track progress
  • Efficiently and effectively facilitate internal and external meetings with actionable next steps
  • Assist in defining project scope and objectives by involving all relevant stakeholders and ensure technical feasibility
  • Serve as a liaison and minimize communication gaps between multiple stakeholders, including but not limited to software engineers, clients, internal operations team, and senior management
  • Establish and actively manage a customer-focused relationship with business and IT stakeholders by exhibiting a high level of collaboration, timely communication and responsiveness
  • Report project status on a recurring basis to senior leadership, engineering team and relevant stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment
  • Escalate changes, issues, risks for resolution as needed
  • Support scrum teams by facilitating multiple scrum events and ad hoc meetings 
  • Manage and communicate changes to the project scope, project schedule and project effort


IDEAL CANDIDATE 

  • 3+ years of experience in a project management role with experience in all phases of a project lifecycle
  • 2+ years of experience in an agile (scrum) environment, leading agile sprint teams and using agile collaboration tools (Jira, confluence, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Proactive and quick problem solver with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects and tasks
  • Cognizant and analytical thinker who is open to feedback and learning
  • Exceptional communication skills and experience working with executive-level stakeholders and external clients
  • Comfortable with resolving and escalating risks and challenges when needed
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision 
  • Must be based or relocate to NYC, but also be comfortable with periodic travel up to 30%
  • Technology, SaaS, and/or start-up experience is preferred
  • Experience in healthcare is preferred
  • Strong team player, willing to lead by example
