You will participate as Team Leader Desktop Publishing in our Desktop Publishing Services Team. With your expertise, you will contribute to the successful coordination of the projects with focus on providing our services within the agreed deadlines and in full accordance with customers’ requirements.

Job Description The major areas of focus for this role are as follows:

• Train/support the training of the team members for the following DTP tools: Adobe Suite CS, QuarkXPress, FrameMaker, MS Office, Abbyy Fine Reader – and any other tools that are required for all kind of tasks in the DTP Production
• Monitoring and improvement of the DTP workflow
• Efficient use of escape and vendor platform are an advantage
• Anticipate problematic situations within the production and come up with solutions
• Solve a crisis situation by involving the team or departments and distributing the necessary tasks accordingly
• Handle customer complaints by providing solutions and continuous follow up of corrective and preventive measures
• Analysis of the production key performance indicators and granting solutions for improvement
• Clear communication of all project/production-related issues during the project execution
• Appraise the team members and being able to provide at request figures concerning their competences
• Solve any technical problem and be able to instruct all other team members on dealing with the problem in the future

Requirements

• Using DTP tools (FrameMaker, Word, QuarkXpress, Indesign etc.) to accomplish DTP job.
• Using image tools (Illustrator, PhotoShop, PaintShop, ImageReady etc.) to edit images.
• Using screen capture tools (SnagIT etc.) to capture screenshots according to client's instruction.
• Using DTP QA tools to perform checking work.
• Using other relative tools to undertake the DTP work according to clients'
• Implementing the feedback to meet client's requirements.
• Skill in learning and using tools provided by client independently.
• Summarizing and writing guides.
• Learning/researching new tools/methods or developing macros to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Contributing ideas to improve current procedures and work flow.

Additional Requirements

• 3rd level qualification (Degree/Diploma) in related field. 
• At least 2-year DTP experience;
• Careful and patient;
• Have strong sense of responsibility and team spirit;
• Self-motivated and independent;
• Able to work under high pressure;
• Comfortable in dealing with interpersonal relationship and able to communicate effectively with others;
• Knowledge of installation and configuration management for the most common operating systems and platforms;
• Knowledge on encoding and fonts;
