ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Project Manager’s primary purpose is to manage all projects, from approval through delivery, ensuring that the client’s requests are met in a timely manner, with a keen attention to quality and cost saving potential.

Major responsibilities will include:

- Managing projects and maintaining responsibility for the planning, execution, tracking, delivery and closure of such projects, using Park standard processes and tools. This includes, but is not limited to:

- Creating and managing project schedules from production & proofreading, dtp/quality assurance through delivery to client.

- Assessing risk and employing strategic planning to minimize potential issues.

- Maintaining a high level of understanding of the patent filing requirements in various countries as well as the specific needs of each client being served.

- Managing project budget.

- Establishing strong relationships with both internal and external (vendor) resources.

- Negotiating rates with vendors, with a keen eye for cost saving opportunities.

- Participating in vendor recruitment, as needed.

- Ensuring all finance systems data is accurate and kept up to date.

- Researching client quality complaints and mediating between the vendor and client to reach a resolution

- Providing status updates to BDV rep, as needed.

- Operating with a medium level of support and intervention from the Director, including recognizing and escalating in a timely manner, any issues beyond their control.

- Taking responsibility for personal development in the PM role by working closely with the Director on development goals rapid learning and becoming measurably more autonomous as experience is gained.

- Completing special projects and miscellaneous assignments as assigned.

OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Language:
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret client requests as well as effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of co-workers, managers, clients, and vendors.

  • Mathematical:
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts & percentages.

  • Reasoning Ability:
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions. Close attention to detail.

  • Other:
  • Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. A positive, open-minded team player attitude. Strong time-management skills. Ability to multi-task.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university;
