Manager, Program Delivery
Girls Who Code is searching for a proven, results-oriented project manager to serve as Manager, Program Delivery. Overseeing execution and resource allocation across all core programming, the Manager will ensure that key organizational milestones are met supported by effective systems of accountability. Reporting to the Vice President of Programs, the Manager will ensure that high-quality programs are delivered efficiently at scale within established key financial targets. The ideal candidate has a track record of building and executing programs at scale and thrives in a fast-paced environment. She/he brings experience in project or product management and a commitment to the Girls Who Code mission.
The successful candidate has at least 5 years of demonstrated experience managing projects in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
Program Execution
Develop a master timeline of key organizational milestones aligned with established annual goals
Coordinate deadlines and deliverables among verticals and other departments to keep Clubs and Summer Immersion Program (SIP) project management on track
Work with Directors and Systems team to design, develop and implement infrastructure needed to manage programs at scale (Salesforce, Trello, etc.)
Regularly analyze strategic efforts across all teams--recruitment, program operations and education
Surface key learnings to inform ongoing discussions with the VP Programs to support adjustments in strategy to ensure programmatic success, long-term effectiveness and organizational efficiency at scale
Establish and execute a project management framework that will be easily understood and adopted across multiple teams
Financial Management
Establish a deep understanding of resource allocation across core programs (Clubs and SIP) and across Programs Teams more broadly
Collaborate with VP, Programs on strategic planning and budget
Support effective communication of key financial targets across teams
Continuously reflect on opportunities to maintain high levels of program quality at scale
Cross-team Collaboration & Communication
Support regular communication across the Programs Teams regarding shared goals and progress toward goal attainment; ensure that conversations are grounded in and informed by relevant programmatic data
Surface key decision points for VP Programs consideration and involvement
Develop systems for cross-team communication and transparency around workstreams; think creatively about how we can always support improved cross-team and organization-wide communication
Establish accountability systems to ensure that program execution remains on track and that there are clear signals when the work is off track
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required
5 years prior project management experience
PMP certification preferred
A track record of completing programs on time, at or under budget
Strategic thinker with ability to manage short-term needs with long-term planning and growth over time
Detail-oriented; superb organizational skills a must
Thrives in fast-paced environment; able to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines and goals
Desire to learn and grow as part of a small organization; team player with a flexible, creative, and analytical approach to problem solving
Successful track record in setting priorities, shaping processes, and executing quickly and effectively
Demonstrated experience with problem solving and creative management of multiple issues at once
Knowledge of and/or interest in computer science, technology, and/or education preferred
Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, maturity, positivity and confidence
