What success looks like in this role:

  • Must be able to interact positively with stakeholders across the company and demonstrate ownership of deliverables.
  • Ability to build and maintain rapport, understand and adapt to nuances of different internal customers, and adapt rapidly to dynamic business requirements is critical.
  • Improve, adapt and where needed create standards, conduct a gap analysis, and then design and project manage a roadmap to full compliance
  • Plan, direct, and execute physical security system design and integration efforts
  • Participate in strategic planning for Corporate Offices and effectively advocate on behalf of Security and our customers
  • Effectively influence management, stakeholders, and third party providers to prioritize remediation of security issues
  • Partner closely with the Mergers and Acquisitions team to integrate and ensure security compliance at newly acquired companies
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on physical security, providing consultation to Real Estate and Workplace Services teams, as well as other key stakeholders

Good Execution — Do your best work

  • Design, set and drive adoption of physical security standards for corporate offices and other critical locations across the company
  • Work with other stakeholder teams to ensure security needs are part of the earliest phases of facility design
  • Provide guidance and oversight to real estate teams including participation in design reviews and threat modeling
  • Work with newly acquired companies to incorporate their unique requirements into our standards while also bringing them into alignment
  • Work with providers and vendors to discover and remediate vulnerabilities in security technologies

Good Owner — Be the CEO of your role

  • Influence management, stakeholders and third party providers to prioritize remediation of security issues
  • Adapt standards and design compensating controls to work within local laws and regulations for various domestic and international jurisdictions
  • Periodic travel to company and third party locations, in rare cases with minimal notice, is required
  • Day-to-day management of a contract guard force that protects the company's New York headquarters
  • Oversee environmental health & safety (EH&S) initiatives at corporate offices

Desired qualities and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Overall experience of 3+ years in security management with a major portion of that experience leading security system design and integration
  • Demonstrable experience in corporate security management
  • Exceptional writing, research, and analysis skills
  • Multi-disciplinary backgrounds (e.g. Security Ops Management and Security Technology experience)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with regulatory environments such as HIPAA and pharmacy security
  • Experience evaluating, implementing, and operating Lenel electronic access control systems (preferred) or other access control systems
  • Experience securing network and computing infrastructure
