We are looking for a Manager, SMB Web Development and Strategy to join Snap Inc. Reporting to Sr. Director of SMB Strategy and Programs, this leader will create a foundational team to propel the web development strategy and vision for SMB advertisers, globally. This role will have full ownership and management of the SMB experience through forbusiness.snapchat.com, driving a high performance acquisition and conversion engine serving a uniquely personalized advertiser experience on the website.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing forward looking web strategies and driving high growth returns, especially in B2B, SMB, or B2B2C audiences. They bring expertise in creating impactful web designs, with an understanding of SEO and information architecture. They'll partner with business leaders, the IT team and others across SMB business unit to identify needs, define priorities and accelerate performance improvements on the site. They’ll lead a team of developers, content strategists, SEO specialists and web designers to develop and deliver highly tailored experiences for SMBs who use Snap to power their business growth. 

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver SMB-centric paths to increase quality web traffic, drive engagement, set test agendas to improve advertiser conversions, and define roadmaps to fully leverage our web solutions.

  • Drive long-term SMB web strategy, maturing modern go-to-market approaches mirroring product-led growth models.

  • Build, lead and coach a high performing team, along with setting team charter and operating models.

  • Implement a ‘shipping’ culture that predictably delivers against SMB strategic goals in key segments.

  • Design and implement optimized workflows and processes to enable functional teams’ delivery on goals. Identify gaps and implement scalable solutions and/or test new initiatives.

  • Develop requirements necessary to deliver the solution and work with the engineering teams on the scope necessary to deliver timely solutions (for instance, MVPs with trade-offs). 

  • Partner with Data Analytics, SMB Programs, and SMB Marketing teams to build web roadmaps that continually refine advertiser experience and drive KPIs such as incremental conversions.

  • Execute complex and time-critical projects through strategic and prioritized approach for resolution. Use data to influence decisions.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Familiar with Agile methodologies and able to define Epics and User Stories

  • High comfort with and passion for data driven decision making 

  • Experience simplifying complexity and effectively communicating with business and technical executives, as well as external stakeholders

  • Self-starter with strong collaboration skills and ability to multitask. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and is comfortable with ambiguity.

  • Experience or familiarity in working with the media or digital advertising industry.

  • Experience with two or more languages: ReactJS, PHP, Javascript, HTML5/CSS3 and other similars.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience.

  • 8+ years experience in web development, web strategy, UI design and/or front/back-end web engineering.

  • Experience building, growing, managing, coaching and developing a team.

  • Proven track record in building responsive, user friendly web experiences in B2B/B2B2C space. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient understanding of base front end development technologies including HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript.

  • Ability to communicate effectively as a change agent, influencing leadership, engineering, marketing, and team members to take new actions and shift the daily behaviors of a team.

  • Demonstrated organizational, prioritization, and execution skills with ability to own cross-functional projects.

  • Excellent problem-solving, structuring, analyzing, and strategy skills with ability to translate analysis into actionable plans.

  • A detail-oriented individual with executive presence, business acumen, and the ability to influence and communicate within all levels of the organization.

  • A team player who’s willing to get their hands dirty and help where needed.

Health Insurance & Wellness Benefits
Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
Employees can contribute to a Medical FSA to pay for eligible medical expenses, or a Dependent Care FSA to pay for eligible daycare expenses, with pre-tax dollars.
