About the Role

WeWork is looking for an expert Program Manager with a technical background to own global digital programs within the Technology team. This role requires excellent project management, communication, issue resolution and organization skills. You will anticipate, identify, and communicate risks to key partners and members of the senior leadership team. The person in this role will be responsible for scoping, crafting project plans, developing processes, coordinating and driving execution, and communicating with partners on status, risks, and process product changes. The right person will thrive in dynamic environments, have experience as an engineer or working with engineers, lead through ambiguity and complexity, support multiple, simultaneous projects, and have executive presentation skills.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead detailed project plans for complex, international programs with matrixed partners across Community, Finance, Treasury, Billing, Legal, Design, Engineering and Corporate Technology
  • Act as single point of contact for each project on schedule, cost, and scope
  • Quickly understand the needs of end users and be able to coordinate the efforts of multiple teams
  • Lead teams made up of Engineering and Product resources working on internal platform solutions
  • Leading consensus building on process, scope, and execution of the organization
  • Leading implementation of international projects with high-level of discipline and attention to detail
  • Meet defined achievements and delivery dates
  • Measure improvements and impact of changes
  • Pointing change control as requirements and priorities shift through planning and communication
  • Lead and influence multiple stakeholders in order to drive execution of product roadmap process
  • Partner with other teams to source, allocate and coordinate resources
  • Craft and lead reporting of status and progress along with team communication
  • Facilitate the resolution of issues within your organization and across teams

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 - 8+ years of experience as a Project or Program Manager
  • Experience in a technology product environment with a detailed understanding of the software development process
  • Knowledge of the engineering process and the ability to translate complex technical issues in an understandable way to non-technical partners
  • Experience in fast-growing, professional product-focused environments
  • Application and platform development experience, this is not an IT role
  • Ability to adapt to changes in priority and quickly resolve necessary adjustments in process and plans
  • High degree of organization and ability to lead multiple, meaningful projects and priorities at a time
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and teamwork skills that will enable you to earn trust at all levels
  • Validated experience of managing projects, budgets and rationalizing resource needs to senior leaders and finance partners
  • Experience bringing software or online products to market

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with service-oriented architecture and Agile development methodologies
  • Experience working with Global markets (Internationalization/Localization, LatAM/APAC/EMEA)
  • Experience bringing software or online products to market
  • Experience with Project Management tools such as Wrike, MS Project, Basecamp, Asana, etc.
  • Experience using tools to gather user stories, test cases, sign-offs, etc. JIRA is preferred
  • Experience leading teams that are building and running complex platforms that are highly reliable and scalable
  • Expertise or use of PMP/Lean/SCRUM

Our headquarters in NYC sits in Chelsea, but our growing tech team works from our SoHo, Chelsea, and Greenwich Village offices.
