Amplify's K-8 Humanities team is seeking a Project Manager to support the CKLA/Caminos team through planning, development and launch of a new Spanish Foundational Skills program. The Project Manager will implement big picture goals, align team deliverables, and oversee the project timeline, scope, and budget. The Project Manager will also be responsible for content development schedules and deliverables, ensuring internal and external alignment in order to meet project goals.
The ideal candidate is a proactive owner that drives successful outcomes by creating and tracking project plans and schedules, identifying issues and risks, maintaining vendor relationships, communicating with key partners, and facilitating workflows and decisions across functional teams at Amplify. The person in this role is has the ability to quickly shift directions and drive decision-making processes and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams both internally and externally.
***This is a full-time Contract position through June 2022, with possible extension.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a detailed project plan to track deliverables and progress while using appropriate tools and techniques to measure project performance
  • Clarify and communicate project objectives and success criteria to key partners and team members while motivating , directing, and managing teams of up to 6-10 people including editorial staff, designers, product owners, executive key partners, and others.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all current and upcoming projects are staffed appropriately
  • Proactively own all phases of the project, ensuring each phase is completed on time and on budget
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors to ensure the effective and timely delivery of materials and services to customers
  • Communicate, problem solve, advise, and obtain approval for changes to the project scope, schedule, and budget using appropriate channels and processes
  • Identify, document, and raise project risks, create mitigation plans, and implement appropriate solutions
  • Support and advocate for project teams and ensure they are set up for success by creating realistic project plans


Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years project management experience leading cross-functional projects
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple projects in a deadline-conscious, data-driven environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Proficiency using various digital tools and software to proof assets and track projects, such as Google Suite, Workfront, Smartsheet, , and other proofing and project management applications
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical problem solving skills
  • Intermediate proficiency in Spanish


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • A background in education, publishing or related field
  • Ability to communicate to diverse audiences, specifically racially, ethnically, and socioeconomically diverse communities
