About the role:
As a Project Manager on the Marketplace Strategy & Operations team, you’ll play a pivotal role in improving operational inefficiencies, driving strategic initiatives that will accelerate customer growth, and ensuring our customers (shippers, such as Target) love working with Transfix. All aspects of your work will involve cross-functional collaboration, where you’ll lead meetings focused on customer health, growth, concerns, presentations, and more. You will be responsible for creating and implementing programs that will make the Operations teams’ lives easier and solving complex problems related to our shippers on a daily basis. 

What You'll Do:

  • Identify opportunities for internal process improvements -- create these new SOPs and train the appropriate teams
  • Provide solutions for customer growth obstacles & identify growth opportunities by partnering with the Account Management and Pricing teams
  • Facilitate the preparation of presentations for key customer meetings, such as QBRs 
  • Collaborate with Account Management and Pricing teams to finalize strategies & next steps after key customer meetings to help escalate customer growth -- monitor the strategic initiatives to ensure completion within deadlines 
  • Prevent customer churn by conducting analyses on accounts that are declining in health and proactively communicate findings with the Directors of Account Management
  • Lead “Customer Health Review” meetings with our Shipper and Carrier teams to create action plans for “unhealthy”, at-risk customers by collaborating with Account Managers
  • Ensure Shipper and Carrier teams are collaborating effectively to maintain high levels of service for shippers, and establish strong relationships with carriers 

  • Shipper (Customer) Onboarding:
  • Oversee 7 departments’ (Finance, Legal, Account Management, Carrier Management, & more) involvement in onboarding new customers -- work closely with the Sales team to ensure all new customers are set up for success
  • Proactively communicate key new customer info with internal stakeholders to set clear expectations 
  • Lead weekly meetings with key stakeholders from 7 departments to establish a smooth, successful launch period for the new customer

  • Cross-Functional Shipper-Focused Projects
  • Develop and implement new projects that will:
  • Increase efficiency for Operations teams
  • Improve customer satisfaction
  • Create solutions for internal pain points & customer concerns
  • Increase revenue & margin

About You:

  • You are an executor - You can deliver within aggressive deadlines
  • You love solving complex problems in a fast paced environment
  • You are a critical thinker and data-oriented with strong analytical skills; you’re an expert at Excel and reporting tools
  • You are organized and manage your time efficiently
  • You are skilled at collaboration with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • You demonstrate strong internal and external communication skills including verbal, written, presentation, and active listening
  • You have managed complex projects and launched new initiatives
  • You have a strong ability to multitask methodically and rapidly switch between different contexts
  • A burning desire to win and reach overall company goals
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree
  • You have 2+ years experience in project management
