Who You Are
You will work alongside a Project Manager to plan and execute projects. Your duties will include identifying stakeholders, project needs and goals. You are a fast learner who will initially be working on smaller scale projects before moving on to tackling medium scale projects. You’re a great communicator and know how to leverage this skill to keep your team informed and projects running smoothly.
As an Associate Project Manager, your responsibilities include assisting Project Managers in defining the scope and timeline of the project, preparing for the impact on customers, managing expectations between various stakeholders, and providing full communication and documentation on the project for internal and external audiences. In addition to timely completion, a success component for every project includes the level of support provided to our teams and our customers. In this role, you will work closely with other internal-facing teams such as Product Support, Customer Success, R&I, ProdEng, (among other cross functional teams) to maximize the understanding of customer needs for each project. You will also work closely with Sales, Operations, Legal, and Product teams as appropriate for each given project.
Your Success ProfileWhat You Will Work On
- Own and lead small scale cross-functional projects (in partnership with a Project Manager), especially those with discreet timing, deadlines, and launch timeframes that affect customers and employees
- Shadow and support Project Managers on large scale projects such as Renewals and End of Year
- Partner with teams such as PSS, CS, Sales, R&I, MDV, etc. from start of project (Kick-Off) to completion
- Keep the team and related stakeholders up to date on the status of projects
- Lead, publish and share project post-mortems to celebrate wins, identify opportunities for future improvement, and learn from our experiences
- Coordinate meetings and update communication / documentation platforms (Confluence, Google Docs) as necessary
- Learn the ins and outs of foundational Project Management methodologies
- Other duties as needed based on department and/or organizational needs

Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years proven applicable experience in a professional environment.
- CAPM or PMP certification is a nice to have
- Prior experience in the PEO/HR/benefits space, is a plus
- Experience in tech/SaaS is a plus
- Strong desire to learn the methodologies and responsibilities of a Project Manager
- Strong desire to grow into a strong Project Manager
- Strong interest in project / program management, preferably in a software development environment
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively and appropriately
- Ability to communicate well with various stakeholders
- Ability to take complex things and explain them in an easy to understand and coherent manner
