The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced scrum leader who can lead a team of engineers and product owner(s) to be a high functioning scrum/agile team. The development team, composed of onshore and offshore resources, is helping transform our technology into the next generation of our programmatic platform that is scalable and well integrated with our 3rd party vendors. We’re looking for someone to lead the development team and help bring about transparency and order to the development process. 

 

As APDS is growing, we are looking for a leader who will roll up her/his sleeves and achieve the following outcomes:

1. Ensure on-time delivery of JIRA tickets every sprint

2. Clearly articulate planned work with dates 3-5 sprints ahead and stick to the schedule

3. Own the entire scrum process and become main point of contact for the scrum team

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all scrum/agile meetings facilitations that have clear outcomes and deliverables
  • Communicate delivery timelines and upcoming sprints with rest of the organization
  • Ensure the product owner and development team achieve customer satisfaction
  • Manage product backlog and production bugs that may come in
  • Communicate clearly with support team on critical production bug fixes
  • Resolve conflicts and issues that occur
  • Remove impediments and coach the scrum team on removing impediments
  • Help the scrum team achieve higher levels of scrum maturity (i.e, accurate velocity, no spill over tickets from sprint to sprint, self-organizing and self-accountable team)Support the product owner and provide education where needed

Qualification and Experience

We are looking for an experienced candidate that can drive and lead a scrum team to help APDS’ programmatic platform scale. The candidate must have a proven track record of delivering product enhancements in a timely manner utilizing Agile & Scrum practices. Examples:

  • 6+ years of experience as a scrum leader with a track record of delivering product improvements and communicating clearly across the different parts of the organization.
  • Oversee and lead a team of engineers that consists of developers, product owner, quality assurance, data analyst
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate to different levels of management
  • Data and process driven - Utilize tools (Atlassian tools - JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Basecamp, etc…) in a disciplined manner that leverage the power of data to make necessary adjustments to the Scrum process
  • Self-starter and problem-solver: proactively identifies issues, rolls up sleeves, and manages to resolution
  • Highly collaborative person that is able to make positive connections with the team and be able to interface with other sub-team members
  • Strong technical acumen using Software as a Service (SaaS) platforms to manage business processes and operations is a strong plus
