WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Plan releases of newly developed software products by assuming responsibility for the success of the release process from the schedule, budget, and quality perspectives
  • Take ownership of the development process. Identify project risks, plan, organize and manage the deliverables across the development lifecycle, with "hands on" responsibilities as necessary
  • Coordinate activities with other internal business units and external groups and track progress of development against plan and budget
  • Work with a global team to maintain process and deliverable quality
  • Actively manage stakeholders at all levels, as necessary, by leading discussions of project scope and approach, advocating for a common understanding of project success and the successful delivery of useful, high-quality solutions
  • Effectively establish and maintain respectful, mutually supportive relationships with the business and with the implementation teams (including development, project management, business analysis, QA, etc.)
  • Actively oversee and manage the delivery of Functional Requirements, Functional Specifications, Technical Specifications, Test Plans and User Acceptance Testing for assigned projects

WHAT YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar; Master's degree in Computer Science
  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in an internal Business\Technology or technology consulting environment
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience as a Project Manager leading software development teams
  • At least 5 years of experience managing two or more scrum teams in an Agile environment
  • Track record of successful and timely delivery of complex software development projects
  • Track record of helping projects meet aggressive timescales, while ensuring that high levels of quality are maintained
  • Experience in planning complex multidisciplinary projects in a global and multicultural organization
  • Extensive project management experience, ideally within a financial institution or financial software organization
  • Understanding of modern information technology concepts, software development and software implementation techniques
  • Fundamental understanding of project management best practices and demonstrated experience working with waterfall, iterative and agile methodologies
  • Proven problem solving skills in a technical environment
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate complex business and technical concepts to a senior audience
  • The ability to actively oversee and manage all project resources and negotiate with client teams
  • Experience managing other project managers and/or functional leads
  • A strong client focused orientation with the drive and enthusiasm required to achieve results and assume customer satisfaction
  • Proven relationship-building skills required in order to create, maintain and enhance relationships within the team, to build consensus and drive project forward
  • Experience managing budgets and forecasts is required
  • Ability to adjust priorities and plans in response to changing objectives and/or impediments quickly and effectively
