Job Description

The Supply Chain and Sustaining Care Services team has an exciting, new Senior Project Manager role. We are looking for a hard-working, passionate candidate to partner with various departments across MSKCC . In this position, you will lead high impact, enterprise-wide projects (i.e. ERP System) and initiatives including financial sustainability within our complex business unit. This role will have the opportunity to routinely partner with senior supply chain/sustaining care services leadership, executive leaders across the hospital and the SVP of Supply Chain and Sustaining Care Services.

You will:

  • Provide overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy; commitments and goals.
  • Design, communicate, and implement an operational plan for completing projects; monitors progress and performance against the plan; and takes action to ensure the project stays on schedule and within budget.
  • Provide mentorship and support to project team members.
  • Maintain awareness of team engagement; identify and respond to key challenges and areas of opportunity
  • Document workflows, project requirements, policy and procedure gaps, key decisions and necessary follow-up.
  • Facilitate the gathering of information required for the level of effort analysis to estimate project cost, resources, time and deliverables.
  • Monitor ongoing compliance with project budget; identify, communicate and resolve budgetary variances.
  • Provide effective structured change management support for all large-scale, client-facing projects.
  • Develop specific change management strategies and plans, identify risks, coordinate and overcome obstacles to change

You have:

  • Master’s Degree - MBA, MHA, MPA or other relevant graduate studies
  • 5+ years consulting and/or large-scale, complex project management experience in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management including project management techniques and tools
  • Experience presenting projects to C-suite executives and senior stakeholders
  • Change management experience a plus
