ABOUT THIS ROLE
This opportunity is as a Senior Technical Program Manager for the Audible's Risk management teams. You will work with Audible's Fraud prevention team as well as the business continuity management team to implement and maintain the Fraud prevention and DR Programs for Audible
As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will...

  • Coordinate the delivery of business priorities while enforcing best-in-class fraud-prevention practices with timely fraud detection and remediation services in place.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams across Audible Technology and Audible Business Continuity Management (BCM) to develop and coordinate Technology Disaster Recovery (DR) Planning, track the DR activities across engineering, and help manage DR exercise/testing activities for the engineering organization.
  • Interface and communicate with Software Engineering & QA teams, Product Managers on a daily basis and play a key, hands on role in defining the technical architecture of solutions for services.
  • Collaborate to define core business objectives in order to deliver the best product, program or project with the most efficient use of company resources.
  • Consistently and transparently communicate project risks, progress, launches and retrospectives across all stakeholders and teams.
  • Work with cross functional teams - technology, business and operations in order to manage multiple projects that have conflicting needs and priorities from concept to launch. spanning teams and divisions in Audible and Amazon.
  • Manage the visibility and transparency of dates, upcoming milestones and release dates throughout the Sprint development process.
  • Monitor Apps Production Analytics dashboards to ensure roll-outs and ramp-ups are occurring as expected with no abnormalities, crashes or install failures.
  • Build relationships with partner groups in Audible and Amazon and leverage those relationships to integrate your team's priorities within Amazon teams and understand how Amazon's projects impact our own work in this highly decentralized organization.
  • Collaborate with other internal teams and Third-Party Vendors to deliver DR services that meet internal Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and customers Service Level Agreements (SLA).


Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience working within or in tandem with software engineering teams with specific experience in Technology/IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity.
  • Demonstrated experience (3+ years) in project and program management principles and experience in managing multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Recent system design experience in large scale enterprise level environment.
  • Experience deploying distributed, multi-tier applications.
  • Undergraduate degree in the field of computer science or engineering or equivalent experience.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Detail oriented to ensure that project success and results oriented and with a strong customer focus.
  • Ability to navigate an ambiguous environment that pivots frequently to satisfy the needs of our customers.
  • Technology implementation and support experience in cloud-native technologies Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Disaster Recovery as-a-Service (DRaaS).
  • Prior experience in building service oriented (SOA) distributed systems.
  • Previous experience as a software engineer.
  • Adept at usage of various tools such as Microsoft Project, Confluence, & JIRA.
