Latch is seeking a Software Project Manager. In this role the Software Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring software projects are delivered on time and achieve their intended goals. The Ideal candidate will work closely with the Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure all stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the life of a project. As a member of the Software Program Team, they will work to uphold and improve upon established software project management processes.

You’re intimately familiar with common software development methodologies (including Scrum and Agile), and understand how different teams come together to deliver a quality product. You know how to get teams bought into an idea to help move a project forward.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and track firmware and software project milestones from start to finish
  • Regularly communicate project status to appropriate teams and stakeholders
  • Work with the Software Program Manager to ensure detailed project timelines are accounted for in the company roadmap
  • Ensure teams are following the agreed upon project structure and appropriately utilizing project management tools
  • Regularly review and recommend refinements to the software project management process
  • Hold all teams and contributors accountable for their project deliverables
  • Create project timelines based on target release dates, intended project scope, or both
  • Mobilize the appropriate teams for a given project based on defined or intended deliverables
  • Escalate to the appropriate leaders when deliverables or milestones are not being met
  • Engage with the Testing Support Manager to ensure a robust and valuable internal testing phase
  • Flex to support project team members as needed
  • Partner with Operations to support pilot initiatives
  • Provide timely updates and elevate critical risks to Product, Engineering, Management, and Operations as necessary
  • Fosters collaboration between the Engineering and Product teams to ensure that the product requirements are fully understood and delivered to the documented specifications
  • Partner with the System Operations Support Lead at appropriate stages of the project to ensure the Operations team is prepared to support the features post-deployment

Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years of project or program management experience
  • Significant experience with various software development methodologies
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
