Job Description

The Operational Excellence Department (OpEx) partners with leaders across MSK to identify high-impact projects and initiatives that consistently deliver the ideal end-to-end, experience to every patient and family through a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Our reach spans across clinical and hospital operations from the newly designed Koch Center to Telemedicine, Supply Chain, Hospital Operations and more!

 

This is a fantastic opportunity to take the lead on execution as a Senior Project Manager.

 

What you'll be doing:

  • Partner with key departments to drive inpatient project portfolio prioritization, resource allocation, and delivery of results across the enterprise.
  • Manage multiple complex projects collectively valued at $2 to $5 million-plus in incremental revenue and/or cost-savings targets
  • Ensure consistency with organizational strategy, commitments, and goals
  • Coordinate and communicate an operational plan to deliver strategic portfolio results, manage priorities, and monitor progress & performance against the plan
  • Identify, develop, and confirm resources i.e. project charter, metrics, staffing, designs, schedules, budgets, and forecasting.

Who you are:

  • Ability to build networks, persuade, manage complexity and communicate effectively
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Master's preferred) and 7-10 years large-scale program, portfolio, project management or consulting experience in healthcare operations
  • PMP certification or ability to achieve within six months of hire
  • Ability to employ a wide toolkit of skills whether it's change management, negotiation, or analytics knowledge
