Under the direction of the Director of Infrastructure, you will manage all aspects of the IT Change and Release Process and its impact on the Services delivered to our internal or external customers. This role will be critical to the overall change management process and will be responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of change management process definition, workflows, and aggregate change success rates. Within the change management process, this role will prioritize change requests and incidents, assess their impacts, accept or reject changes, as well as document the change management plans and processes. 

To ensure success, the Technical Change and Release Owner will work closely with product managers, technology managers, and technically orientated subject matter experts to holistically manage the change environments and their impacts on the business and technology operations. This role will work closely with the product Release Manager to ensure that application changes are properly approved via the requirements of our jurisdictions. This role will also require an aggregate understanding of technical infrastructure (hardware, network, etc.), the software development life cycle, and the workflow process to ensure information flows quickly and accurately. The candidate must have relevant experience in DevOps, AWS, and complex on-premise infrastructure.

What You Will Do:

The five major areas of the Technical Change and Release Owner responsibilities will be, and are not limited to:

  • End-to-end management of the technical change environment
  • Management of technical releases
  • Technical acumen to challenge and own all changes to production from infrastructure, DevOps, and Software
  • AWS Change Management
  • Integration management of change, release, and incident environments
  • Evangelization and training of industry best practices for all the above

What You Will Need:

  • 10+ years experience in technical change control management
  • 10+ years experience in a development and production environment
  • 5+ years with AWS, DevOps, process documentation, etc.
  • 3+ years experience in software release management
  • 2+ years of gaming industry work experience is preferred, or equal background in a highly regulated industry
  • Demonstrated comprehension and experience in utilization and comprehension of IT infrastructure, software development, and release management methodologies and best practices
  • Demonstrated comprehension and experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, and containerization 
  • Demonstrated experience in utilizing soft skills with siloed, cross-functional tech and business groups
  • Demonstrated experience in merging multiple Change systems

Required Skills

  • ITIL certification is highly preferred
  • Process documentation acumen
  • Process improvement
  • Proficiency with MS Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Atlassian products (Confluence, Jira, Slack)
  • Proficiency with ServiceNow and platform integration tools

Essential Functions/Exposures:

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time                                          
  • Must be able to type and talk on the phone for extended periods of time                                     
  • Regular attendance in the office
