We've just launched our temperature-regulated smart bed, the Pod. It's an absolute game changer, improving people's health and happiness by changing the way they sleep. Early feedback is great, but we still have a long way to go toward achieving our mission. 

That's why we are looking for a collaborative Technical Program Manager who can help us drive large, company-wide initiatives from start to finish, building consensus and confidence along the way. This role sits within our Digital Services team and is the force that will help provide the direction, structure, and process required to achieve our ambitious goals-- to improve members’ sleep and prove it to them. 

How you will contribute:

• Orchestrate a cross-functional team of mobile app developers, software engineers, designers, product managers and QA to deliver features on time 
• Act as the liaison between Digital Services, Software and Hardware teams 
• Own the technical roadmap, requirements, priorities and process
• Create detailed project timelines and make adjustments as needed, setting clear expectations for the working group, including constraints and mitigation plans
• Engage in service capacity planning, software performance analysis and system tuning
• Help track, manage and analyze incidents as part of a continual improvement process
• Gather and document requirements from stakeholders and troubleshoot issues alongside the product manager and engineers
• Lead change, anticipate how other teams might be impacted and facilitate scoping and process design with them
• Do what it takes to get the job done and motivate a team
• Act as a translator and liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders by distilling technical concepts into easy-to-understand explanations

What you will need to success:

• At least 3 years of mobile app program or project management experience, with demonstrated wins
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline or equivalent experience
• 3+ years' experience demonstrating usage of methodologies (SCRUM, Agile, etc.) and best practices through the PM lifecycle
• Ability to learn about the Eight Sleep products and app quickly
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Creative problem-solving abilities and a passion for making complex things simple(r)
• A team mentality with the instinct to put the needs of the project and group first
• Technically grounding within the assigned area of work

Bonus points for:

• Experience working with iOT and connected devices
• Proven ability to thrive in complex situations - with resource/time constraints, quality challenges, release issues etc.
• Experience handling multiple and short duration projects at the same time
• Familiarity with systems like Jira, GitHub, etc. is ideal
