This role will work closely with senior management to define goals and create plans for new security projects. This is a new role, in fact, we've never had a full-time Project Manager in any area of the company. We're looking for someone who can take ownership of process, help us elevate our thinking, force our goals to be well defined, flesh out interdependencies, drive the schedule, illuminate problems, and generally create order out of chaos. Prior work in an information security area would be a nice to have, but we already have in-house expertise defining what we'll need-- this role will help us drive how we go about executing.Responsibilities:
  • Build out project plans for multiple security related projects
  • Source of truth for current status on multiple projects
  • Identify hurdles and bubble up issues affecting ability to execute
  • Proactively communicate status and any issues to stakeholders and drive the resolution of those issues with respect to the plan
  • Generally ensure the right level of communication is taking place across stakeholders and owners of interdependent work streams
  • Proactively seek to improve process and optimize for communication and collaboration
  • Take on tasks without clear ownership to ensure that things get done

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Technical Project Management for large software systems projects
  • Self-driven and confident in ability to execute without direct mentorship
  • Clear thinker and precise communicator in both speaking and writing
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to help teams with project and task time estimation
  • Ability to run efficient meetings, facilitate discussion and present to senior leadership
