Looking for a job to get you out of bed?

Casper is seeking a passionate Technical Project Manager to join our Operations Technology team and lead the execution of strategic work that delivers on our goals.

The Operations Technology team is responsible for managing core applications in Fulfillment and Business Systems. The team works closely with business stakeholders across Operations, Wholesale, and Finance to deliver technology solutions while supporting ongoing business needs. The candidate will be responsible for defining and translating strategy into actionable project timelines and managing communication, testing, training, and development across teams. They will possess a strong attention to detail, bring simplified solutions to complex problems, and can deal with ambiguity while understanding and advocating for priorities.

A successful candidate will have experience working as part of an engineering team that reliably delivers on quarterly goals and daily production needs, thanks in large part to their ability to focus the team on prioritizing the most impactful, valuable work in the most effective way possible.

Casper (casper.com) was created to re-imagine sleep from the ground up, beginning with its obsessively engineered, outrageously comfortable mattress. All of Casper’s sleep products — including its pillow, bedding, and furniture — are developed in-house by the company’s award-winning R&D team in San Francisco. Casper was named one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies in the World and its eponymous mattress was crowned one of TIME Magazine's Best Inventions.

We are deeply committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce so that we represent all those who dream big equally.

When you’re not catching zzz’s, this is what you’ll do...

  • Ensure we have complete project deliverables, including business cases, scope definition, requirements and/or user-stories, standard operating procedures, functional and technical design, test cases, cutover plans
  • Lead change management efforts, including working with business stakeholders to map as-is processes, define to-be processes and controls, document training, and promote end-user adoption
  • Adapt to project needs with a willingness to “deep-dive” into specific deliverables or functional/technical areas when necessary, such as writing requirements, creating design documents, testing.
  • Partner with the Principal Program Manager to manage planning activities, including quarterly plans and roadmaps with tech, product, and business leaders. Contribute to the setting of project priorities at the daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual level
  • Organize and lead regular stakeholder meetings to set and manage expectations and update project priorities, timelines, and goals. Communicate project status and success to stakeholders
  • Identify and proactively manage roadblocks and risks; look across the organization to highlight dependencies, vet key assumptions, and raise visibility where appropriate

  • Solid technical acumen or functional/engineering background
  • Strong business knowledge of the retail industry and/or supply chain operations
  • Qualitative mindset and approach to measuring business needs and project success
  • Good understanding of overall end-to-end financial processes, compliance, and controls
  • Experience managing projects within agile and kanban.
  • Hands on experience creating and managing project deliverables
  • Experience managing short, medium and long-term roadmaps
  • Detail-oriented and “get things done” mentality with incredible communication skills
  • A strong desire to continue learning and developing professionally
