About Clear Street:

Clear Street is building modern infrastructure for capital markets. Founded in 2018 by top Wall Street and Silicon Valley veterans, Clear Street is an independent, non-bank prime broker designed to solve the industry’s most neglected problem: legacy technology.

We have built a proprietary, cloud-native clearing and custody system from the ground floor to replace the outdated infrastructure used across capital markets. Our platform is fully integrated with central clearing houses and exchanges to support billions in trading volume per day. We’ve agonized about our data model abstractions, created horizontal scalability, and crafted thoughtful APIs. All so we can provide a best-in-class experience for our clients.

By combining highly-skilled product and engineering talent with seasoned finance professionals, we’re building the essentials to compete in today’s fast-paced markets.

The Role:

As a member of the Talent Acquisition team, you will partner with hiring managers across the firm to help us identify, interview and hire the best talent. You are an effective communicator and you can engage candidates, understand their motivations and guide them through the interview process. You will ensure that the candidate has an exceptional experience and is aligned to our values. Establishing and maintaining relationships with our hiring managers is a critical part of the role, we have an engaging group of people that want to partner with us.

We are looking for a dynamic, high-energy individual contributor that has excellent recruiting (sourcing to closing) and relationship management skills to contribute to our dedicated Talent Acquisition team.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the recruitment process from sourcing to offer acceptance for multiple, complex searches across Engineering, Corporate functions and potentially our business areas.
  • Create and execute innovative sourcing strategies and engagement to bring the best talent to each role, based on business needs and goals.
  • Represent Clear Street by presenting and positioning Clear Street’s story and culture in a compelling manner.
  • Provide a high touch exceptional client and candidate experience throughout the entire hiring process.
  • Partner with the People Operations team for a smooth transition from candidate to employee through onboarding.
  • Communicate effectively with the interview team to ensure preparedness during the interview process through guidance and training of hiring managers and interviewers.
  • Analyze pipeline and performance data to provide ongoing updates and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
  • Proactively contribute to the continuous improvement of our recruiting practices and processes on an ongoing basis.

Requirements:

  • You have at least five (5) years of proven experience across the full recruitment life cycle recruiting across multiple corporate functions including Engineering and traditional organizations found in a financial services company such as Operations, Compliance, Risk and Legal.  There may be times as well to potentially supporting revenue generating businesses such as Sales, Trading, Investment Banking and Equity Research.  It is important to have a breadth of experience across functions as well as locations, we are a global company with different offices that we recruit for.
  • Ideally a background that is a blend of truly understanding financial services (you can talk to the business and know what they do/are looking for) and experience at a fast-growing startup.
  • You possess a Bachelor's degree.
  • You have the ability, and desire, to scale and at times manage a larger req load due to volumes that may suddenly increase.
  • You have proven ability to use low and no fee sources, for example: mining the ATS and LinkedIn, networking with your contacts, liaising with proactive employee referrals as well as actively working with employees to find out who they would recommend for roles.
  • You are able to negotiate and find common ground between candidates and the Clear Street team(s) to achieve a win-win outcome.
  • You have the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work productively with a positive demeanor in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift quickly.
  • You understand the importance of data integrity and attention to detail, ensuring that information is correct is something that you are passionate about.
  • You’re an effective and active listener and a clear and concise communicator.
  • You are disciplined, detail oriented, hardworking, and possess excellent business partnering skills.
  • You are curious about technology and willing to learn about topics that will help you connect with candidates and the business.

The Base Salary Range for this role is $125,000 - $175,000. This range is representative of the starting base salaries for this role at Clear Street. Where a candidate falls in this range will be based on job related factors such as relevant experience, skills, and location. This range represents Base Salary only, which is just one element of Clear Street's total compensation. The range stated does not include other factors of total compensation such as bonuses or equity.

At Clear Street, we offer competitive compensation packages, company equity, 401k matching, gender neutral parental leave, and full medical, dental and vision insurance. Our belief has always been that we are better as a business when we are all together in person. As such, beginning on January 2, 2023, we are requiring employees to be in the office 4 days per week. In-office benefits include lunch stipends, fully stocked kitchens, happy hours, a great location, and amazing views.

Our top priority is our people. We’re continuously investing in a culture that promotes collaboration. We help each other through challenges and celebrate each other's successes. We believe that modern workplaces succeed by virtue of having high-performance workforces that are diverse — in ideas, in cultures, and in experiences. We put in the effort to make such a workplace a daily reality and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. #LI-Hybrid
