Unique opportunity to join an industry-leading research team and write about startups/VC and innovation everyday.

CB Insights is seeking a prolific and motivated Writer to create and update blog posts, research briefs, and long-form articles using our wealth of data on tech and startup trends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily writing and updating of data- and graph-driven research briefs and blog posts
• Writing topical blog posts around Tech/VC/startups on tight deadlines
• Identifying and pitching blog posts relevant to our audience
• Contribute to content planning and ideation
• Using our platform and analytics tools to identify insights and illustrate key points in your posts

Required Experience:

• At least 2 years relevant writing experience and demonstrated ability to write clearly, quickly, and concisely with an eye for great titles and search-friendly framings
• A passion and in depth knowledge of the venture capital/startup ecosystem
• Demonstrated ability to write professional and polished copy that requires very little editing
• Strong grasp of numbers and data and a zeal for accuracy
• Understanding of how to write research-based content that is both professional and accessible
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, and fast-changing environment
• Some knowledge of MS Excel preferred
• BA/BS required; relevant graduate degrees also a plus
