Role Summary:

We are looking for a self-motivated Sales Development Representative II- Enterprise to join our high-performing sales team. You have a high emotional intelligence with a natural inclination for selling to accelerate our growth as we scale rapidly! In this role, you will be responsible for generating and qualifying high-quality leads for our innovative data workflow orchestration platform, working closely with Account Executives to drive pipeline growth. You’ll report to Prefect’s Vice President of Sales, Matt.

What You'll Do:

  • Execute strategic outbound prospecting campaigns to generate new business opportunities
  • Qualify complex inbound leads and effectively match them with appropriate Account Executives
  • Articulate Prefect's technical value proposition to developers, including data engineers and other technical decision-makers
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to refine lead generation and qualification processes
  • Consistently achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly quotas for qualified meetings and opportunities created
  • Track and improve performance and efficiency on a daily basis

Your Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in sales development in a technical SaaS environment
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding quota
  • Deep understanding of sales methodologies and ability to adapt to different buyer personas
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and articulate complex technical concepts
  • Sense of entrepreneurship: a self-starter with a high sense of urgency and ability to work within undefined processes
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales engagement tools (e.g. Zoominfo, LinkedIn Sales Nav, Clay, Outreach.io, Lead Router (Chili Piper) and AI prospecting tools)
  • Experience using AI to increase productivity in outbounding efforts
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Basic understanding of data engineering concepts is a plus

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $61,000 - $86,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and work location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and relevant job levels. Your recruiter can share more about the salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Please keep in mind that equity is not included in the range provided above and will represent a significant part of your total compensation. Benefits and any bonus or incentive compensation is also not included in the range provided above.
